Postmortem: Scheduled maintenance, production deployment on 1 October 2026

Summary
On 1 October 2026 we carried out a planned production release for Optty Admin. The window ran from 12:30 to 14:30 UTC. This release improves invoicing accuracy. It adds a more robust exchange rate (FX) source for invoicing and fixes how Xero is connected during large invoice runs. The maintenance finished within the planned window.

• Optty Admin Backend
• Status page components: Dashboard and Reporting, Settlement

Customer impact
There was no downtime during the maintenance. Payment processing, checkout and all other Optty services stayed available throughout.

What changed

• More reliable FX rates for invoicing: Invoicing now uses a broader and more robust exchange rate source that covers more currencies. This makes invoice calculations more accurate and consistent.
• Better Xero invoice generation: We fixed an issue where large invoice runs could need you to log in to Xero again. You can now generate invoices for several months in one session after a single Xero login.
